"It shouldn't have happened to a Firefighter...but it did!

I have been in the Fire Service for 25 years now and am shortly to retire at the tender age of 55. In that time I have worked with some fantastic men and women, had some memorable moments and lots of laughs. I have always enjoyed sitting round the table with friends and colleagues discussing what has happened during the day or swapping a good story from years gone by. Many have said ‘that’s a good story Wolfy…you should write it down.’ So finally I have put together a collection of comical stories from my Fire Service experiences which I hope you will enjoy.

I am not sure that this book would ever have got printed if it were not for having met the illustrator and, my now friend, Paul King. Having seen his comical, if somewhat over the top, interpretations of my stories and seen how much people have enjoyed them I finally started to believe in my collection of Fiery Tales.
